...Biblical world view Essay
God created humans in his image, with his law embedded in our hearts. Therefore humans are the Image of God, and must live life according to his plans and purposes. His law was created for the wellbeing, peace and harmony of mankind. Living in his Image is very important; this would help each other to have a better life by not doing sinful acts like lying and stealing from each other. In the profession of Accounting living in an the Image of God allows me to provide an honest services, by providing financial reliable information for clients that then will make important decisions based on the information provided.
Working in the accountant field allows me to work with clients and organizations that have many different needs of accounting services, like taxes, auditing, working for the accounting department of a nonprofit organization and the government. The accountants have a lot of pressure in providing accurate information; by living in the image of God an accountant will not allow to be tempted by sin and issue financial reports or statements that are misstated. The Bibles teach us that it is prudent to have good behavior doing what is right, just and fair. As mention in the book of (Proverbs 10:9) New International Version (NIV) “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out” as stated in the book of Proverbs we are expected to honest...
...UGBA 104 Analytic Decision Modeling Using Spreadsheets
Haas School of Business
By some estimates, due in part to the Internet, we generate zettabytes (billion gigabytes) of data each year. This flood of
data is transforming every aspect of business from finance to marketing to manufacturing. In this course, we will
develop the basic tools for exploiting data in business decision-making. Whether you are interested in finance and wish
to balance a portfolio between risk and return, an Internet entrepreneur designing a Google AdWords campaign, or the
next Michael Dell, managing inventory and assembly from your dorm room, this course introduces the data-driven,
analytical solution strategies to the common, underlying business problems.
While the underlying concepts, models, and methods of this course are mathematical in nature, we will develop them
using the same tool used by the financial analysts on Wall Street, by the venture capitalists on Sand Hill Road, and by the
countless startups in Silicon Valley: Excel spreadsheets. This course examines all steps in constructing an analytical
model: defining a problem, developing a model, developing a solution, testing the solution, analyzing the economic
implication of results, and understanding how the models’ results depend on the data upon which it is based. You will
learn to use Excel add-ins for solving constrained optimization problems and running Monte Carlo simulations.
Throughout the course we will...
...Introductory Paragraph: Welcome, it is with sincere pleasure I would like to introduce to you the Little Steps Make Big Differences Family and Recreational Center of Upstate New York. I am asking that you and your fellow peers on this board will take into consideration my expert opinion on the following proposals for rooms specific to, and focusing on each of the five stages of development (Infant, Toddler, Early Childhood, Middle/Late Childhood, and Adolescence). There will be a room geared specifically for the infants, a room set up for the toddlers, a room for the children in the early childhood stage, a middle/late childhood room, and a room for the adolescence. Within each of these five rooms will be the tools, supervision, and support necessary to enhance the physical, cognitive and psychosocial areas of their development.
1. ROOM #1 – Infant Room
Paragraph 1.The first of the five rooms is for the infants. This room will offer various areas of play to help aid in the physical, cognitive and psychosocial areas of development. In this room there will be several different kinds of play mats and mobiles. These mats and mobiles will have various objects hanging from them that will be of different colors, textures, and make a variety of sounds. These will help the infants to practice sitting up, develop hand eye coordination, learn about cause and effect and encourage sound and texture discoveries (Guyton, 2011). The basic hygiene of this room is something that can...
...A delicate balance has to be sought between simplicity and
detail in order to ensure that legal rules are sufficiently flexible to meet the needs of different trades
and to adjust to technological advances.
The focus of this article is upon the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP),
which consists of a set of principles which standardise banking procedures for payments byway of
documentary credits. These principles do not apply automatically, but are in play once traders choose
to pay by letter of credit and to incorporate the UCP as part of their contract terms. The UCP was first
issued by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in 1933. It has been regularly revised since
then in order to ensure that it reflected current banking and trade practice. The most recent version
had been the UCP500, promulgated by the ICC in 1993 and effective from January 1, 1994.3 The ICC
Commission on *J.B.L. 356 Banking Technique and Practice (Banking Commission) initiated a
fundamental review in 2003. After three years of preparation and consultation, unanimous approval of
the draft was given by the Banking Commission on October 25, 2006. It is expected that the UCP600
will be used by banks and traders across the world from July 1, 2007 (and will therefore be referred to
as the “UCP600 (2007 revision)”).4
Over the years, the letter of credit has been a popular choice. It is particularly attractive when...
Theology 104 Reflection Paper 2
For my two topics I choose The Nature of God and Sin Nature (the nature of man). The two topics are obviously complete opposites but as a child most of what I knew about God came from the sinful nature of family that I looked up to and later how I learned to recognize and pray for my current sinful nature was from learning the actual Nature of God. In this paper I will explain how the two topics connected with my life and how this study has help me understand both topics even more. Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God (Galatians 4:8).
The Nature of God
The Nature of God is truly understood with the Holy Spirit and the study of God’s Word. Supremacy, Omniscience, Omnipotence, Omnipresence are just a few words that describe the Nature of God. To truly know God is to fear him and be in awe of him. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen (1Timothy 1:17).
I was raised in a Gypsy culture which led to many terrible understandings in the outside world. One huge misunderstanding is that I had of the nature of God. As a gypsy child we would listen to many stories from “successful” elders in hopes of learning some great secret to help us. Many of these...

It seems as though in today’s age and time that Satan’s existence is more real and prevalent not only among society, but among Christians, as well. But, it isn’t the talk of Satan that is alarming so much as the type of attention and talk that he is receiving. Our modern day society has transformed him from being the evil, factual being that we know him as into a sinister, more humors fictional character used to make ‘great’ movies and entertainment.
Producers are making a living out of Satan’s character. One of the most well known movies depicting this is Little Nicky. It depicts Satan preparing to retire from ruling Hell and trying to decide which of his three sons will take over the throne. But, when Satan decides to go ahead and keep the throne two of his children leave Hell to create their own version of Hell on earth; landing in New York City these two brother possess the political leaders of the city, freeze the gates of Hell to keep souls from going to their father, and create chaos among the mortals if New York. The movie ends with Satan’s youngest son, Nicky, saving the day, and defeating his brothers so that all of the souls, once again, can return to Satan himself. This movie is considered a comedy and opened at #2 in the North American box office.
As disturbing as the film industry’s portrayal of Satan may be, it isn’t too surprising to me. What I find to be surprising, but even more so...
