There are several terrorist groups throughout the world today. All the terrorist groups have one common goal and that is to rid the world of Americans and western influence from the Muslim world. There is one organization that has ties to most of all the terrorist groups in the world and is the most infamous group in the world today and that is the group called Al-Qaeda The word Al-Qaeda means “the base” in Muslim. As an international terrorist organization led by Osama bin Laden. The group seeks to rid Muslim countries of western influence and replace them with fundamentalist Islamic regimes. Al-Qaeda grew out of the of the ashes of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1988, after it helped expel the Soviet occupation. In 1990, Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the build up of 500,000 troops from the United Sates and its allies enraged the leader of Al-Qaeda and with that he issued a declaration of war on the United States and its interest around the world. Also in the 1990’s Al-Qaeda stepped up its aggression against the United States with an attack on the World Trade Center and the arming of the AL-Ittihad Al-Islamiyaand attacks in Somalia that killed 18 special operation soldiers during the Battle of Mogadishu. Al-Qaeda was responsible for the US embassy attacks in Kenya and Tanzania. Some of the other attacks that Al-Qaeda was responsible for was the bombing of the USS Cole in Oct 2000, Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, killing over 3,000 people. After those horrific attacks on the United States. President George Bush sent American troops into Afghanistan to topple the regime “The Taliban” which gave safe haven to the terrorist group and to hunt down the ones responsible for the attacks that killed some many US civilians. Osama Bin Laden and his al-Qaeda terrorist network condone their actions and deem their war as a clash between Islam and Western civilization. The al-Qaeda terrorist campaign...

...or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons. Terrorism comes from decades of histories of deep national pride, religious disputes and what is seen as an intrusion upon Islamic holy grounds. Terroristgroups try to gain influence and power in order to affect political change on either a local or an international level. They make this possible through the publicity and fear that is generated by their violent acts. Throughout history terroristgroups have caused much devastation and damage, leaving a huge impact on the world. Terrorism is one of the leading problems in today’s society. The terroristattack against the United States, on September 11th, 2011, clearly demonstrated the power and strength that terroristgroups possess. Al Qaeda is arguably the most well-known and most dangerous Islamic terrorist organization in the world. It was established around 1990 by a Saudi millionaire, Osama Bin Laden, to bring together Arabs who fought in Afghanistan against the Soviet invasion. The goal of the organization is to reestablish the Muslim state throughout the world. Al Qaeda works with allied Islamic extremist groups to overthrow regimes it deems "non-Islamic" and remove Westerners from Muslin countries. Groups affiliated with Al Qaeda have conducted numerous bombings and other violent attacks throughout the world that have resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians. In 1996, Osama Bin Laden declared war on the United States, and two years later, he vowed to attack Americans and their allies, wherever they are.
Al Qaeda is the leading multi-national Islamic terrorist network. It was founded and is still led by Osama Bin Laden, a multimillionaire from Saudi Arabia who became an active Islamist in 1979, when he went to Afghanistan to fight the Soviet Union. Though Al Qaeda financially and operationally supports Islamist terror groups around the globe, its core remains Bin Laden and the Arabs who fought alongside him during the 1980's....

The Day We Went To War!
This essay will tell stories of limitless loss and sadness. One of the darkest days in american history. A death toll just under 3000 US citizens and 19 islamic radicals. What conspiracy theorists say happened, what the government said happened, and straight facts about it.
Some conspiracy theorists suggest the government had something to do with 9-11. An “extraordinary” amount of put options were placed on United Airlines and American Airlines stocks, the same airlines that were hijacked during the attacks. They think traders were tipped off to the attack. Others say that the “attack” was actually a planned demolition. Some witnesses say they heard explosions; additionally scientists say plane fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt the steel frame of either of the towers. After 9-11 a documentary named “loose change” stated that the terrorists were alive in other countries.however it was dismissed on account of two people can have the same name. However it raised a good point. How did the hijackers passports survive the explosion? how can paper survive an explosion that brought...
