Immigration law, also known as policy regarding foreign citizens, is related to nationality law, which governs the legal status of people, in matters such as citizenship. Immigration laws vary from country to country, as well as according to the political climate of the times, as sentiments may sway from the widely inclusive to the deeply exclusive of new immigrants.
There is now a law for immigration. Immigration law consists of regarding the citizens of a country are regulated by international law. “The United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights mandates that all countries allow entry to its own citizens,” according to the U.S government.

In the mid-nineteenth century there were mainly an influx from northern Europe; in the early twentieth-century mainly from Southern and Eastern Europe; post-1965 mostly from Latin America and Asia.
Fewer than one million immigrants—perhaps as few as 400,000—crossed the Atlantic during the 17th and 18th centuries at least that’s what Historians estimated. In the early years of the United States, immigration was fewer than 8,000 people a year also the French refugees. Immigration gradually increased in 1820. Over 30 million Europeans migrated to the United States from 1836 to 1914. Many people died for migrating to the United States.

I believe that if I stay focused and do what is right in class then I think that my long-term results would be very good. The value of getting a higher education degree is very good and the results will determine on how good of a career I would and will be succeeding in for the future.
What my plan is for my academic and career future is to keep going to college each day, studying very hard, making sure that I turn in all the assignments that I need to before it gets to late, for my career future I think that I should do what is asked of me at all times and make sure that I get all of my projects done in time so that way I do not get in to trouble. When I complete my higher education and get my degree then it will help me find a job that I want, make enough money to take care of my family, pay all of my bills, get out of debt, and make sure that my daughter is well taken care of and gets everything that she wants in life, I will also be setting up a trust fund for my daughter which she will be able to receive it by the age of eighteen.
What I have learned in the week that I was learning about collaborative learning environments is that we collaborate everyday rather if it is with peers, faculty, friends, family, or anyone. What collaborative is, it is a form of collaboration and what that is, is when you are talking in a group setting or a presenting something you consistently collaborate. Collaborative...

My Course Reflection
For this paper I will be discussing the long-term results and the value of completing a degree in higher education, how the tools and assessments over the last nine weeks will help me in future courses, and my career plan. I will also include and reflect on the following four topics; collaborative learning environment, critical thinking, effective study habits and personal learning style, and time stress management. This will be based on facts and my personal experiences. I will be describing how my academic experience over the last nine weeks have prepared me for college and pursuing my career goals.
Once you have graduated from high school or completed your GED (which is what I have done) it is essential to pursue a higher education. A valuable lifelong investment that with the right goals will lead you and your family to financial freedom. I always have believed higher education is an essential investment that all people of society should have. This I feel would reduce poverty and inequality among society as a whole. Having a higher education (degree in college) will allow you to pursue a career of your choice, and it will give you long-term results of a financially stable life....
...both young and old could live the lives that Hollywood portrays in movies, they could take a romantic moonlit walk along the river, go star gazing late at night, dance in the street without any music and if it’s late enough, they could even lie in the streets and watch the traffic lights change, like in the movie The Notebook. Living here would be nothing like it was back home in Durham.
“Knock, Knock,” Brittlyn turned to see her father, John, leaning against the door jamone foot on the balcony and the other inside the hotel room. “I’m going to be leaving for the game soon, I just wanted to say goodbye.” Brittlyn looked at her father and then down at the river and smiled.
“What was it like growing up here Daddy?” John looked out over the river and sighed. Brittlyn could see all the memories come flooding back, there were even tears in his eyes to prove it.
“Honestly it was truly amazing, here in Wilmington a kid could just be a kid. I can’t imagine growing up anywhere else. But, that’s another story for another day I have to be at the high school in an hour. I’ll see you later sweetie I should be home around ten.” John bent over and kissed the top of his daughter’s head then turned and walked out the door.
As soon as Brittlyn knew her father was out of the room, she reached for her cell phone and called the number set on speed dial three. “Yes may I please speak to Sarah, it’s an emergency.” Brittlyn rolled her eyes at the lady on the...
US/101 Introduction to University Studies
August 18, 2013
Over the past nine weeks, I have learned a tremendous amount of information that will be beneficial and help prepare for college and the pursuit to my career goals. I have found that every week I learned new information, refreshed my memory on existing information, and allowed myself to have phenomenal learning experience. I am looking forward to using the information I learned over the past nine weeks toward my future in college and my career goals.
I consider the long-term results and the value of completing a degree in higher education to be one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. The long term results of receiving a higher education is creating a career, maintaining financial stability, and the ability to use what I learned in college in day-to-day activity. The value of completing a degree in higher education contains short-term and long-term values. The short-term values are the job skills that I receive, having improved communication skills, to maintain critical thinking skills, ability to have problem solving skills, to evaluate solutions, general knowledge, and one that I find to be important, broadening my prospective. The long-term values of receiving a degree in higher education are getting the qualifications needed...
I feel as though this class has greatly improved my chance of success to attain my academic and career goals. Over the last nine weeks I have learned about and perfected new skills that will be needed in my future classes as well as in the professional job market. The exercises in critical thinking, my writing foundations lab and ethical lens inventory have helped me by refreshing my grammar and vocabulary skills and showing me why and how I get to conclusions in certain situations. These skills will get tremendous use in my upcoming courses and in my field of work. By mastering the assessments on my writing foundations lab and doing the corresponding work associated with it, I feel much more confident in my skills on punctuation, sentence and paragraph structure and my overall writing abilities. The critical thinking used in answering discussion questions will also be used frequently in my future classes. I have learned to use others input and ideas to further my own opinions and have come to realize that I retain so much more information by listening to what others have to add to my posts.
The value of getting a degree in higher education for me is use that degree to obtain a higher paying job within the company that I am currently employed. In the long term obtaining my degree will enable me to save more money for retirement, live a more comfortable lifestyle and also put more money into my...
