An information system is a set of formal procedures by which data is collected, processed into information and distributed to users. A constant flow of information triggers the need for a system to organize information flow therefore there is a need for information system. Information system transform facts and figures in raw form also known as data into information which are data presented in a form useful in decision-making activity. Information system also ensure relevance and reliability of information to the users. One type of information system used in Nokia is the management information system. The type of management information system used in Nokia Corporation is known as ACM-MIS Lite which is considered a power integrated system that is done and developed by the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM). This association is considered the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, through which several of different departments of Nokia Corporation works with each other, this way of interaction saves time and gets you efficient utilization of the resources. Nokia collects the data from the personal data of a customer when he or she makes a purchase, use or register into their products and services, take part in a campaign or otherwise interact with them. It also uses the Peer to Peer mode. In this mode, any two devices from Nokia can exchange date. For example, you can share the data via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi link. These are the type of data the company collects.

Nokia then considers the customer experience management products for subscriber profile information in order to get the information needed such as, analyzing subscriber behavior, customer care automation, and device management applications. All these are sources for information Nokia gets and consider.
