Anthropology 101 – Prof. Huld
Evolution in Elementary Schools
Science books have been published for years. The topic of evolution being in biology books has been a problem for years. In class we watched a video called, “Judgment day” which exemplified how problematic the teaching of evolution is. The problem became so big with religion followers that an innocent physical education professor was convicted with a crime and taken to court for teaching evolution. Through out years I myself have learned about evolution. My first exposure to evolution made me question my religion and my family. Being raised in a very religious background I was thought that a superior being created humanity and the earth. Contrary to the previous in my elementary class I was thought differently. Evolution was introduced to me and it blew my mind. The evidence supporting the theory of evolution makes it a believable explanation to how we have evolved or changed slowly into the humans we are now and how our earth and surroundings have adapted with us through out years. My interest in evolution since my first exposure to it in Elementary has lead to read more about and want to study it in a similar field. There for a court ruling like The Scopes trial in 1925 where they banned the teaching of evolution to kids weere to have been continued and not changed then maybe I or many others would not have been introduced to evolution. Without evolution the continued studies of genetics and medicine would not be as advanced as they are now. It is Gratifying to watch a video and see how many people intersected in the banning of Evolution in Schools. Watching various scientist show testimony and proof of how evolution has credibility against inelegant design theory was truly an experience that makes me believe more in our human society. Sadly Inelegant design theory or Creationism in disguise will continue to try to make their way into books or school...
...Action Plans: Enhancing Training Development for Employees
This research paper analyzes and summarizes three published articles and a textbook that provides information on the results from a previous research conducted. The previous conducted research analyzed and summarized the use of action plans that employers and employee structure to develop and enhance training methods to improve job performances. The three articles vary in the definitions of an action plan, the different types of action plans, and the effectiveness of action plans in the workforce. Paul Thoresen states, “action planning should be an interactive process involving both management and employees because it allows more generated ideas, spreads out accountability for successful results in job performances” (Thoresen, 2014, p.1). On another note, the other articles define and provide precise information regarding action planning in the workforce. This paper analyzes and summarizes three different articles, including Thoresen's, each article pertains to the use of an action plan that will enhance the training development in the workforce.

...Management Concepts - The Four Functions of Management
For any kind of organization to run smoothly, it needs to implement core management concepts. This necessitates that the four management functions - planning, organizing, directing and controlling be precisely understood. This article is aimed at providing a brief overview of the same.
Any organization, whether new or old, small or big, requires certain methods, procedures and plans in place for its efficient functioning. For this to happen, they must develop and implement management concepts which help them implement their vision for the future of the organization.
➤ Staffing - The Fifth Function
The concept of functions of management was put forth by Henri Fayol, a management theorist from France, influential in proposing many of the management concepts in use today. Originally, he had proposed five management functions; namely, planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating and controlling. Modern texts have reduced the functions from five to four. They include planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The four concepts of management, translated into functions lead to the creation of a cohesive organization. They can be seen here as a diagram. It is interesting to note that there is no hard and fast rule to be followed in the application of these functions, as management is a real-time decision-making system, any of these...
...Communication Plan Template

February 25, 2013
Communication is vital for the creation, existence and prosperity of any organization. A communication plan allows for an
organized and efficient way of communicating internal and external information to recipients. A well-engineered communication plan
will be sure to clearly outline and inform the target audience. The message or messages will be well articulated and directed at the
target audience with little to no room for confusion as well as well-timed. In other words the timing for the delivery of the message
shall be appropriate. The goal of the message should be easily decipherable by recipients as well as how and by whom the message
will be delivered. We have all heard the phrase “timing is everything”, there is much truth here in that the appropriate time of delivery
of information will greatly impact its effectiveness; who the message comes from and how they deliver it can also greatly affect and
determine and messages effectiveness.
A Communication plan is a strategic outline that draws out organizational goals regarding internal and external desired
communication processes. Communication Plans are vital to both internal and external communications, including marketing,
advertising, and all public...

#4: Share plans with suppliers
If you plan to use your capacity-planning products across multiple platforms, it is important to inform your software suppliers of your plans. During these discussions, make sure that add-on expenses — the costs for drivers, agents, installation time and labor, copies of licenses, updated maintenance agreements, and the like — are all identified and agreed upon up front. Reductions in the costs for license renewals and maintenance agreements can often be negotiated based on all of the other additional expenses.
#5: Anticipate nonlinear cost ratios
One of my esteemed college professors was fond of saying that indeed we live in a nonlinear world. This is certainly the case when it comes to capacity upgrades. Some upgrades will be linear in the sense that doubling the amount of a planned increase in processors, memory, channels, or disk volumes will double the cost of the upgrade. But if the upgrade approaches the maximum number of cards, chips, or slots that a device can hold, a relatively modest increase in capacity may end up costing an immodest amount for additional hardware. This is sometimes referred to as the knee of the curve, where the previous linear relationship between cost and capacity suddenly accelerates into exponential increases.

...Case Study : Prospect Educational Plan in crisis
Nature and Background of Case:
Educational plans are essentially savings/investment accounts where you put money in, the money is invested in financial and other securities within government guidelines, and your money is supposed to grow over the years and eventually gets paid out to cover a beneficiaries school tuition and expenses. Several years ago, and seemingly out of nowhere, accusations came flying from all directions about pre-need companies. According to the accusations, they were either bankrupt or nothing but a scam, depending on which company you're looking at. And since a large portion of Filipino families relied on these pre-need companies in order to send their children to college, widespread panic ensued the moment these accusations hit the press.
Prosepect Educational Plan paid out huge commissions to agents, so that in some cases out of PHP35,000 that a customer paid in, only PHP15,000-20,000 actually went into the “trust fund” that had to grow to pay off the future tuition fees. Prospect Educational Plan sold open-ended educational plans, and that the rise in fees distorted the actuarial assumptions. Holders of this type of plan can go to the most expensive schools but they pay a higher premium. There are two kinds of Prospect Educational Plan educational plan holders: those who are already...
