My creation story
In my opinion I believe the Islamic creation story which basically believes that God (Allah) all mighty clicked his fingers and proclaimed “Be” and it was. This is how I believe Allah crated the universe. Here is the creation story in my own words. Long ago when there was nothing, Allah (god) created the universe, the world, and our planet Earth, everything except for his self Allah the most high. (God has no mother or father, No one created Allah, all mighty.) Allah the Almighty snapped his fingers and said, “Be” that was how the world was created. Later, Allah (S.W) created man with clay and dust and afterwards named him Adam (PBUH) Allah had given Adam all the knowledge that Allah had known and placed him in the heavens. Adam (A.S) later on started to become extremely lonely and then Allah thought, “let me make a partner, a friend for Adam (A.S).” So Allah then took Adam’s (A.S) left rib and then created Hawa (A.S) [Eve] and then told them whatever you do not eat from a certain tree, however something went wrong... Then the Shaytan (Satan) had whispered into Adam (A.S) and Hawa (A.S) because “he (Satan) had vowed that every human being that is created I would corrupt them and lead them astray!” He whispered, “Go, Go eat from that apple tree, it will make you strong and it is the most sweet and delicious apple you would ever taste” Adam and Hawa (A.S) ate from the fruit tree and nothing happened they felt very disappointed. Well, as you would have probably guessed, Allah had found out because he is the creator and not the created. So Adam (A.S) and Hawa (A.S) got thrown out of heaven and sent down to Earth for disobeying Allah all mighty. Allah said “if you want to come back to heaven you must worship me at Earth until your death and then you may go to heaven again!” Adam (A.S) and Hawa (A.S) did what they were told, and had many sons/daughters and after their death they might’ve went to heaven we never know. That is my creation story, my...

In the beginning, The Red Hills started as a vast land of emptiness. The land was covered with large mountain ranges, open valleys, and flat desserts. Life was nowhere to be seen, there were no animals, no trees, and no one inhabited the land. The land was one time inhabited by a tiny civilization that migrated north, in order to grow and prosper. Only three of the members of this land stayed behind, that was a man by the name of Lord Dupa, and his two sons named Spot and Frank. Nothing was left behind, a large storm devastated the area, killing everything.
Frank and Spot were very curious kids, but were also very different kids. The oldest son, Spot, was a small man with almost no muscle, he had a large head which was centered with a large nose. Frank was almost the opposite, he was considered to be very good looking and had long handsome locks, and had muscles beyond all beliefs. Frank was generally considered to be the “good” kid, while Spot was always getting in trouble, or doing things that he shouldn’t be doing. Lord Dupa had his hands full with his two sons. They were constantly fighting each other, as they had very different interests. But one thing they had in common was the thought that they needed to create a great land here in The Red Hills. They both agreed that something needed to be done, the land had lots of potential and they had the power to create a great land for many people to enjoy.
Where do we come from? The creation of the world has for centuries been told through many different stories, in different languages, and from a variety of religions across the world. The founders of each religion developed every creationstory, and as religions vary greatly in beliefs, so do their stories of how the world and mankind were created. Although many of thesecreationstories differ, they have a close mystical and spiritual bind that brings people together. Two particular creationstories from very diverse religions are that of the Native Americans and the Christians. Unlike Christians who worship one god, Native Americans worship two high gods as well as a variety of natural and supernatural forces. Although both stories may differ from one another in determining their belief of creation, they both are similar in which both religions believe that through ceremonies and worship that they will be at harmony with god. Through their creationstories we can interperate their understanding of the world around them, how they view life, and how they are compatible and incompatible with one another.
Native Americans believe...
...Ojibwe CreationStory of Turtle Island
In this assignment I will be looking at the creationstory of the turtle land, the Yoruba people of Nigeria and the Christian CreationStory, which include the creationstory in the bible.
In this story, the Ojibwe people believe that Kitche Manitou is the Great Spirit, which had a vision, a dream. And He made the earth, the rocks, water, fire and wind. He made the plants, animals, fishes, birds, and insects and then the Original People, and the last he made was the Anishinabe. And also, there are beliefs and experiences that Native People hold in common. Most important are the beliefs pertaining to the Great Spirit, Kitche Manitou, and the vision dream he had was that he created the good red Earth, which is their Mother - and water, wind, and fire. And He made new life forms in the shape of plants, animals, birds, fishes, and insects, whereby each possessed its own unique spirit and nature. Then He gave each life and gift that makes them unique in spirit and nature. And which there is a purpose for each life.
It is said that the Original People were given the power to dream. Man dreams and prays to attain certain powers from other spirits, and the Spirit gave Native People the power to dream. And Men were given powers from spirit helpers while women received the powerful gift to give life. And then Kitche...
...The CreationStory – Turtle Island
For the Ojibwa/Anishinabe people, the legend is as follows. Long ago, after the Great Mystery, or Kitchi-Manitou, first peopled the earth, the Anishinabe, or Original People, strayed from their harmonious ways and began to argue and fight with one another. Brother turned against brother and soon the Anishinabe were killing one another over hunting grounds and others disagreements. Seeing that harmony, brotherhood, sisterhood, and respect for all living things no longer prevailed on Earth, Kitchi-Manitou decided to purify the Earth. He did this with water. The water came in the form of a great flood, or mush-ko'-be-wun', upon the Earth destroying the Anishinabe people and most of the animals as well. Only Nanaboozhoo, the central figure in many of the Anishinabe oral traditions, was able to survive the flood, along with a few animals and birds who managed to swim and fly. Nanaboozhoo floated on a huge log searching for land, but none was to be found as the Earth was now covered by the great flood. Nanaboozhoo allowed the remaining animals and birds to take turns resting on the log as well. Finally, Nanaboozhoo spoke. "I am going to do something," he said. "I am going to swim to the bottom of this water and grab a handful of earth. With this small bit of Earth, I believe we can create a new land for us to live on with the help of the Four Winds and Kitchi-Manitou." So Nanaboozhoo dived into the water and was...
...Chapter 1: her story
Life was always hard, always a challenge for Elizabeth Welch. She was just a regular teenager, (on the outside) everything was going wrong in her family, her parents devoiced, her sister Angela died in a car crash with her boyfriend, Justin, (my mom can’t sue him so she’s going to sue his parent’s) her best closest and only friend is in the hospital, (she jumped out of a window, well more like throne) and it gets worse, her brother was in a motorcycle accident and got long term memory loss. Her stomach was always in a twist, and she always wanted to break down and cry. She felt god was punishing her, but for what? Yeah she punched someone but he deserved it! “He said my black fuzzy coat made me look like a gorilla!” “Anyway guys should know by now not to make fun of us girls!” “but other than that I was a good girl, I always clean my room, showered, and brushed my teeth the first time I was asked!” Yet her life beat her up day after day, month after month, and she couldn’t take it any more. She was hanging on by a thread. But she tried to enjoy herself because she had a saying “live every minute like it’s your last cause you never no when you’re going to be hit by a school bus.”

...am so sorry. I think it’s really offending you … s—so it’s alright if you won’t accept my apology. “Ayra stammered.
Kieffer gazed at her, finding the sincerity in her eyes. He stood up and Ayra started hating him for making her feel more embarrassed. Hopeless, she stared at the man with contentment at the man walking away from her. Kieffer, on the other hand, is filled with regrets. He looked back and envisaged a sad face of the prettiest lady who rocked his world. Irresistibly, he smiled. And she saw it!
The last class hour that afternoon seemed very tiresome and boring for her. Their Physics- teacher introduced himself as their school year’s adviser. He’s very busy discussing but Ayra’s attention isn’t at him.
“This is the last year of you high school and I want you to enjoy every second of it. I want to assure it. I’ll start with your seating arrangement. I know you were arranged in correspondence with your family names during your three previous years. I’ll make it different but I will still be the one to arrange you. I will let those talkative girls to sit beside thir rushes so they’ll be quiet.” Mr. Reyes jested. Everybody likes this teacher for having a sense of humor.
“Mr. Cortez…” the teacher mentioned his name with emphasis and that made Ayra glanced furtively at him.
“Sir…” Kieffer uttered.
“I want to see you here in front.” He asserted. “Sit here at the second chair from my right. “he continued. The teacher referred to the...
Peace begin with a smile
I was smiling yesterday, I am smiling today and I will smile tomorrow because the life is too short to cry for anything
Let us meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.
A very good morning to Dr Josephn and my fellow friends. All the quotes that I say before this is from mother Theresa and it’s related to my topic, smile can help reduce stress. What concern me that, stress can lead to danger for us. There is many ways to reduce stress like listen to music, exercise or reading but the easiest ways to decrease stress is smile.
Did you know smile can actually help reduce stress level? Every people will face a lot of problems in life like money, time, work, environment around them and it will cause you stress. Other example, we as students will have stress because of the assignment, friends, money, surrounding but mostly it’s because of the assignment. If you stress, it can really show up in your face. You will look tired, overwhelmed, warn down and gloomy. But when you start with smile, it can help to prevent you from looking tired, overwhelmed and it can lead you to healthy life. Besides that, smile also a great natural stress buster. When you have a spontaneous smile, not a fake smile it will give you extra oxygen to be more energetic and from that you can think normally and turn around a negative mood to positive mood. Smile also can increase...
