...of fractions of a race, culture, or ethnicity (Sue & Sue, 2008, pg. 395). There are several complexity identity processes, such as, growing numbers of multiracial individuals who are choosing “multiracial” as their ethnic identity, where the child grows up can have a great impact on identity, such as an integrated neighborhood and school versus in an ethnic community, and physical appearance also influences the sense of group belonging and racial self-identification among multiracial individuals. There has been a Bill of Rights for Racially Mixed People developed by Root (1996) that is composed of three major affirmations: resistance-the multiracial individuals right to resist the belief system imposed by society, revolution-to multicultural people, or anyone who enters into an interracial relationship, who chooses to “cross the boundaries” of race relations, and change-the active attempt to build connections, wholeness, and a sense of belonging to one another.
Describe the various characteristics of Arab Americans. What are some of the implications for counseling?
Arabs are individuals who originate from countries located in the Middle East and North Africa and whose primary language is Arabic (Sue & Sue, 2008, pg. 407). Although Arab Americans have always been exposed to prejudice and discrimination, negative behavior directed toward this group has been exacerbated by the conflicts in the Middle East and the September 11, 2001, attacks on...

5. What are the major hindrances to multicultural education in Malaysia 3
6. Conclusion 6
What are the major hindrances to multicultural education in Malaysia?
A unique characteristic of our secondary schools is that the students are from three different ethnic groups namely Malay, Chinese and Indian. These three dominant ethnic groups have their own beliefs, culture, values and norms that will affect their behaviors and actions. It’s a goal of Malaysian education and schooling practice to enhance social integration among these various ethnic groups beyond mere physical integration, and intends to eliminate social prejudices and discrimination.
2. What is Multicultural Education?
Multicultural education relates to education and instruction designed for the cultures of several different races in an educational system. A market potential is an estimate of the maximum possible sales
opportunities for a commodity or group of commodities open to all sellers in
a particular market segment for a stated period under consideration
Before going to the stage of establishing market potential, commodity
grouping must be established in such a way that the individual
commodities concerned are uniform with respect to the demand
Since most products do not greatly differ from others, consumers
often resort to product substitution.
So in order to accurately arrive at a market potential for a product the
degree of product substitution and the conditions under which it takes
place have to be considered.
The decision as to include or exclude closely related substitutes would
have a significant effect over the market potential. E.g. Furniture –
wood, leather, steel feather light etc.
Several market potentials for a product can be arrived at by making
different assumptions.E.g.tooth paste.
Methods of calculating Market potentials:
Direct Data Method: In this method the data on the actual product for
which one wishes to estimate market potential is collected.
Collecting data about the sales for a particular product in the entire
market from the various retail outlets.
Advantages: These are the actual sales for a...

Social Psychology and Multicultural Psychology
People are influenced by many people, things, and situations. The impact of their social interaction is influenced by the way they think, feel and behave. Understanding how people form attachments and get along within society is essential, especially since there is a growing number of individuals with ethnic or minority and cultural backgrounds. Although “norms of behavior” are promoted by all cultures, other multicultural variables such as contextual factors, racial and ethnic identity, religious/spiritual beliefs, parenting factors, student attitudes must also be consider when dealing with diverse populations.
In this discussion, social and multicultural psychology will be defined, various research strategies used to assess social interaction will be identified, and similarity and distinctiveness of the two branch of psychology will be explained.
Social Psychology and Primary Research Strategies
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary online, social psychology is defined as “the study of the manner in which the personality, attitudes, motivations, and behavior of the individual influence and are influenced by social groups." In other words, social psychology is a branch of psychology that studies the interaction...

Assignment # 2
Reflection Paper – Part B

This assignment was not easy; to complete this assignment I asked my friend who own Limousine Company to help me to attend Christian marriage ceremony, he told me one of his regular client is getting married and he is providing his company services for this function. My friend talked to his clients if he let us attend his function for which he agreed, this way I got an opportunity to attend Christian marriage ceremony, I jumped on it! It was something I had never experienced before. I was not quite sure what I expect at this function so I decided to research Christian wedding ceremonies. The Catholic Church identifies marriage as a sacrament, a sacred encounter between God and his People. The sacrament of marriage views the love between husband and wife as a gift from God. In turn, the love of husband and wife becomes a living sign of Christ's existence and love in the Christian Community. A couple united in the sacrament of marriage lives that sacrament by loving God and practicing their faith. They live the sacrament by the love they have for each other and the unselfish ways they permit that love to mature. They live the sacrament by being open to the gift of children; this is their reason for no birth control.
We divided the market segmentation criteria into 3 main groups:
-more than average disponible income
-less than average disponible income
- price conscious
- quality conscious
- image conscious
- ethical conscious
-non urban area
-little grocery stores
-others (like f.e. cinema, restaurant…)
-responsible consumers attracted by organic food, fair trade value and social engagement
-strong / week
X,Y,Z or (0-3; 3-15; 15-35; older)
-two person household
-families with children
Disponible Income: The Food expenditures are dependant from the available household Income. Moreover mostly the Importance of the price is decreasing with an increasing household Income. Therefore people with a more than average disposal income should be attractive for premium ice sellers and super premium ice sellers with higher product prices. In contrast to the much higher prices of super premium ice cream, “Low-Cost” Ice Creams producers can attract - with often small margins and bigger volumes- People with an low disposable Income...
