The short story “The Moustache” by Robert Cormier is about a boy named Mike who is sent to visit his senile grandmother at a nursing home. His mother warns Mike that his grandmother, Meg, will probably not recognize him. Once Mike gets to the nursing home, he is surprised when she recognizes him and calls him Mike. After a few minutes of chatting, Mike then realizes that Meg has mistaken him for her late husband, Mike who passed away years ago. Mike follows along with the situation and says calm, the last thing he wanted was to upset or scare his grandmother. Once Mike finally leaves, he knows he had just learned a secret that was only meant to be between Meg and Mike from years ago. Everything Mike learns from visiting his grandmother suggests that when loved ones are involved in conflicting roles, a person will choose to fulfill the role that is best for those loved ones.
When Mike visited his grandmother, he did not expect to discover a dark secret only meant to be between his grandmother and her husband. “The Moustache” suggests that the dark secret was that one night, Meg accused Mike (her late husband) of cheating on her. At the time, Meg was absolutely sure that she was right about her accusations, but years later she explains to Mike, “You were whispering, an awful whisper, not wanting to upset little Ellie but wanting to make me see the truth. And I didn’t answer you, Mike. I was too proud” (Cormier 208). Meg realizes now, years later, that she is wrong. Mike told her all along that he never cheated on her, but she did not believe him. He told her the truth and then left it at that. Her husband Mike was telling the truth the whole time, and that shows that he is choosing the role that would be best for loved ones-honesty in this case. Telling the truth and leaving the situation aside is the best thing to do in his situation.
Mike was distraught when he found out that his grandmother had mistaken him for her late husband. Not only did Mike feel...
Announcer: “ C_Copy2 and C_Copy 7 to super stage, report now.”
“ What do you think all of this is about S_112 ?”
“ I have no clue, they might have some sickness or might be polluted.”
“Yea”, every time I talk to her I feel something in me that keeps me attracted to her, a bond maybe.
Polluted, that word struck my head, what can it be? Thinking as I was strolling through the corridor until I approached a steel door called stage 3 with a sign saying “no entrance” hanging on. Thoughtlessly I sneak inside and start wandering with anxiety looking at all of these tubes, hearing some murmuring here and there. A hand pulls me to the side behind a set of tubes.
“shhh, don’t say a single word” this old man puts his hand on my mouth. He takes me into this small chamber and gives me a coke. I look bewilderedly at this can of drink; I never saw such a thing in the conservatory inside. I reject it, but he stops me and says, “ Its not polluted don’t worry”. “ I don’t think you know much about the real world do you?”
I answer still with a bit of confusion, “ what do you mean? Real world? “
“ I see now, let me tell you a few things about who you are and why you are here, first you’re not a real human being but rather a copy of a guy in the world, you’re only a doll that is used to keep these extra artificial organs in good condition so later on when an organ in the original person fails, a part of you is replacing that so in that way people...

Summary of “Little Red Riding Hood”
This shortstory is the classic tale of a little girl in a red cloak going to take her ill grandmother some baked goods. This is the first known publication of Charles Perrault’s story. Little Red Riding Hood was loved by her mother and even more so by her grandmother, who made her a red hooded cloak to wear out and about. The little girl was on her way to her grandmother’s house when she encountered a wolf. The wolf offered to visit her grandmother as well. They took different paths to the house, the wolf taking the shortest. While Little Red Riding Hood was distracted by the scenery, the wolf would appear at grandmother’s house first with the intention of eating her. The wolf came up with the idea of dressing up as grandmother before the little girl arrived. Along comes Little Red Riding Hood with her basket of goodies and knocks on the door. The wolf tried to adjust his voice to sound like grandmother. Once she is in the house, Little Red Riding Hood notices that grandmother’s appearance has changed a lot. Her eyes, ears, legs and most of all: her teeth. Once she points out the noted differences, the wolf gobbles her up.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Belle. She lived in a magical kingdom, but was unaware of it, until her 13th birthday. She and her friend Sunny are to discover that there were more than flowers in a garden.
“Let’s hurry!” yelled Belle “We don’t have much time!”
“Ok, ok, I’m coming!” murmured Sunny groggily. It was 3 in the morning after all!
The two girls were heading to the Tulip Meadow. It all had started when they were having a sleepover at Sunny’s house. Then Belle had a dream that she had to go the meadow. She decided to drag Sunny along. Now they were on their way.
“Did I have to come…I’m tired” groaned Sunny. Belle was tired too, but decided not to admit it and yell at Sunny.
“Stop whining and move it!” Belle yelled.
Sunny yelled at her back. “Well it’s kind of hard to sprint when you’re half asleep!” Belle decided to stay quiet after that statement.
When the two girls had reached the meadow, they were in awe.
“Whoa…” Belle muttered. The meadow was alive in the middle of the night. It was glittery and it glowed like florescent lights in neon colors. It seemed so bright. Then all of a sudden a fairy, yes a fairy, flew up to the girls.
“Y-you’re a fairy?!” questioned Sunny in confusion, surprise, and astonishment. “You’re s-so”
“Glamorous? I know.” The fairy said bored voice, like she had heard that statement a million times before....
...A curious child asked his mother: “Mommy, why are some of your hairs turning grey?”
The mother tried to use this occasion to teach her child: “It is because of you, dear. Every bad action of yours will turn one of my hairs grey!”
The child replied innocently: “Now I know why grandmother has only grey hairs on her head.”
Wrong email address:
A couple going on vacation but his wife was on a business trip so he went to the destination first and his wife would meet him the next day.
When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email.
Unfortunately, when typing her address, he mistyped a letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had passed away only the day before.
When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint.
At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:
Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
P.S. Sure is hot down here.
Will’s experience at the airport:
After his return from Rome, Will couldn’t find his luggage in the airport baggage area. He went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that his bags hadn’t shown up on the carousel.
She smiled and told him not to worry because they were trained professionals and he was in good hands.
Then she asked Will, “Has your plane...
...she cracked one eye open, she could see the sun light peering over the horizon. “Time to get up” Jenny thought to herself. As she picked herself up, and shook her body awake, she slowly walked outside. With a quick sigh, she knew the routine was about to start. She looked up at the house, and to her surprise, Dave had already arrived, and was talking to Mr. Dawkins about something. With a few last words, Mr. Dawkins walked back into his house, and Dave began running towards Jenny. As Jenny looked at Dave, she noticed something different about the boy. There was something about him this morning, like he was overly excited. Without too much thought about it, Jenny waited as Dave attached the plow, and led Jenny to the fields.
After a few short minutes, they arrived at the fields down by the woods. From there, Jenny began her usual route for this particular part of the fields. But for some reason, Dave would stop pushing every so often, and then begin pushing again. After the sixth stop, Jenny looked behind her at Dave to see why he was stopping so often. She saw Dave looking at something particularly shiny, only to shove it back into his pocket. Dave then yelled at Jenny, telling her to keep moving. As Jenny began moving again, she was intrigued to find out what the shiny object was.
As the woods began to get closer and closer, the stops for Dave became much more frequent. Again and again, Jenny would turn around to see him gazing at the shiny object. But...
