What makes a good citizen? A good citizen upholds the norms in a stable society by being honest, friendly and hard-working. He does not create a mess and occasionally picks up after those who do. He keeps his neighbors satisfied with his kind and caring attitude and well-kept garden. A citizen is labeled as good when he has proven his capability to thrive in a place where stability and consistency is required.
Politically, a good citizen does his duty by voting on a constant basis and keeping up with government changes. A good citizen accepts the government and his country, but an ideal citizen is supportive.
Protesters, such as those on our government building's lawns, do not fully support the position the US has taken and make themselves appear almost unpatriotic. They should support their country in peace or war. The vast majority of citizens living here are good; therefore, if the war were so wrong, a vast and overpowering amount of the nation's people would overthrow the idea. A few measly protesters don't have a great effect on the outcome of the war and should be discouraged. Send them to the front. The protesters should support the troops into ending the war sooner, not pulling the troops out suddenly to end the war abruptly.
Good citizens support their country in peace and war. To support the war means to take sides with one's nation, to vocally share one's opinions, to attempt to convert those that don't believe in it, and to be able to wholly see both sides and still believe in their country. The troops in Iraq wouldn't mind caring letters and packages, and if you want to be a great citizen, spend a little time preparing nice thoughts for them.

The use of space, both indoor and outdoor, is an important element of Hytner’s adaptation of The Crucible. Hytner has made some significant changes to the setting, staging more scenes outside involving the citizens of Salem unlike what Miller originally intended. Yet whilst not faithful to the text this decision by Hytner is effective in conveying to the audience Miler’s idea of the blur between the public and private world, as well as visually displaying the uncontrollable spread of rumour and hysteria within Salem. For instance, in Act 3 Proctor confronts Danforth in the “meeting house” rather than the “vestry room” as intended in the play. This larger space reinforces the authority of the court by dwarfing Proctor, a visual metaphor for his lack of power against the governing theocracy and court. As the scene progresses outside due to the children’s fear of the “yellow bird” Hytner employs camera techniques and music to heighten the sense of panic and chaos. As the girls run outside the citizens of Salem also gather around in equal terror, thus displaying to the audience the clear spread of hysteria. The swooping overhead camera angles help to demonstrate to the audience what the children are afraid of and the music is quick in order to reiterate the frenzy of fear and accusation that has gripped Salem. In order for an advertisement to be effective it must grasp a viewer’s interest and provide relevant, meaningful details to convey a message. When designing an advertisement artists will use many different tactics and techniques to target specific audiences and portray certain messages. The advertisement for People in Need shows a poor, poverty stricken African woman laying in a desolate landscape holding a fancy looking handbag. People in Need is a charity organization based in the Czech Republic that works to help citizens of third world countries who are struggling with poverty and disease. This People in Need advertisement uses simple concepts such as materialistic associations, color contrast, and price comparison to gain immediate attention from an audience and get across its thought provoking message. The advertisement, without a doubt, forces a question of moral responsibility and ethical concern upon its audience suggesting that people who live lives of excess have forgotten and neglected those who live in poverty.
The first object that a viewer’s eye is drawn to in the advertisement is the stark white, brand new handbag in the center of the frame. This beautiful looking handbag seems extremely out of place once the viewer examines the background of the photo. In this essay I want to talk about ten of the qualities that make a good teacher. My method is absolutely unscientific. Readers who want to know what Pete has noticed about good teaching are welcome to read on. My evidence is personal, memorial, observational, and narrow. I have known teachers in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Texas, England, and China. Like Henry David Thoreau, I refuse to apologize for writing so much about myself. There is, simply, no one else I know as well. In my opinion whatmakes a good web page? I have been on the net for the last, can't really believe it, coming to ten years now. From the conception to now, I have been a regular surfer on the web, visiting thousands of pages a month, mostly in search of some thing or another. Most searches have lead to even more searches but some times I come up tops. Having been used to the all text sites of the beginning, and seeing the first implementations of more graphic based sites, there was a three-year lapse where I rarely got to surfing and missed a whole evolution in web page. When I returned in full to surfing, I discovered the face of the internet have started to change. Buttons with pictures, navigation systems, some that even worked, all and all better thought out sites that where pleasing to look at and better to work with. This was probably due to the introduction of java script and more complex versions of html. Before then what made a sight good or bad, for me, was more based on contents. As this change came to be my expectations of sites changed as well. When, at first, we where happy to have hyperlinked, underlined blue text, now we expect to have a good, easy to use, constant navigation system. I admire movies and cannot live without them. Some movies taught me important principles in my life, some created memories that will never get erased and some made me laugh so hard till I cried; that is why I love movies. However, there are several movies that I watched, but I do not remember their story at all. For a movie to affect me and stay in my memory, it should include three important factors: good actors, a good director and an attractive story.
To begin with, actors make the greatest effect on a movie’s popularity. Some star actors are trusted that they will never make a pointless movie. For example, I believe that Leonardo Dicaprio and Angelina Jolie will always make excellent effective movies. In addition, most of the audience enter movies if they know their favorite actor is starring. Whatmakes a good argument? Is it one where we repeatedly push our ideas and beliefs without background information to support it? One ran by one-track minds that aren’t willing to look at the issue with new eyes? No it most certainly is not. A good argument is one derived from emotional connection and reason, Pathos and Logos make an argument engaging and factual. Pathos is a writer’s tool for appealing to a reader via an emotional connection. Empathizing with a person can often get them to see things your way. Especially if they know that you have been in the same position that they are now. Logos appeals to a reader through traditional forms of facts and “reason”. You can’t argue against hard facts very easily, now can you? A trending and controversial topic currently is about names. Names can sometimes become a source of a dispute. Often people argue about what name something should have. How do we decide what our kids’ surnames will be? How do we name a period of time in history? What should we call our school’s mascot or our car in the driveway?

Martha Gram, Fred Astaire, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Michael Jackson. These names are staples of the dance world, known for their astonishing way of performance. So whatmakes these historical dancers so good? During their time periods Martha Gram and Michael Jackson became entities like no other, breaking away from the crowd. Mikhail Baryshnikov and Fred Astaire were able to morph into masters of their styles of dance. It is my sole belief that versatility is whatmakes a “good” dancer. Versatility by definition is capable of or adapted for turning easily from one to another of various tasks, fields of endeavor.
