Shelia Jones, General Manager of Posados
1315 North Street
Nacogdoches, TX 75965
Dear Ms. Jones:
I have been a customer of Posados Café for many years. I have always enjoyed the food and service that I have received while dining at Posados. On November 18, 2011, my family, friends, and I received very unacceptable service while dining at the Nacogdoches, Texas location. I was not pleased with the service or the food.
My family, friends, and I expected to have great service based on the experiences of our previous visits. While dining at the restaurant, we received very poor service, and the food was overpriced for the quality. We waited for our waitress to take our drink orders for 20 minutes, and they were not correct when we received them. I asked for tortillas and more salsa many times without receiving any; I finally stopped asking and waiting for her to return with these items. When we received our food, it was undercooked and of poor quality. I felt the food was overpriced for the quality. The waitress rarely stopped by our table to check on us; we had to ask for refills on our drinks many times before they were refilled.
I am writing this letter in hope that needed changes will be made. I do not plan to return to the restaurant until conditions improve. In all sincerity, I hope that I can return to this establishment and enjoy myself as I have on previous occasions. I greatly appreciate your time and consideration of this matter. Feel free to contact me at (936) 569-8243 if you need additional information.

COMPLAINTS OVER GARBAGE COLLECTION IN THE PETITE SOUFRIERE AREA
I wish to express how disappointed I am in the garbage collection schedule in my community. The collection of garbage is a necessity in every community which must not be ignored or toyed with. For the past two week period, there has been a great inconsistency in the dates of garbage collection as well as the times that our garbage has been picked up in the past. This sudden change in the collection schedule has greatly altered our small community’s general routine as there has been an alarming increase in rodents and pests, very unsightly garbage disposals and a growing rate of stray dogs in the area.
Firstly, the startling growth of pests is something which should definitely be dealt with on a rather serious note. Residents must take the initiative in cleaning out disposal units as the scare of diseases is very threatening. Though this practice has gone on for some time now, it is hard to be persistent in clearing all the rubbish by ourselves as the garbage simply keeps piling up over what was once cleaned. This practice is something which many villagers are complaining about and are greatly troubled by as they are aware of...

Dear Ms. Thompson:
Stovall Home Products received your customer compliant letter referencing the discoloration of your jacket after using our white-n-brite liquid bleach product.
We here at Stovall understand your concern and frustration of possibly ruining a new jacket. Our entire team here at Stovall conducted a thorough investigation and found the root cause of the problem.
In your compliant letter you stated the treated areas around the stains on your jacket had turned to an ugly yellow. On our white-n-brite label directions we advise all consumers to follow the garment care tags before using our product and to never use it as a spot remover. We also contacted the manufacturing company that made your jacket, and they stated that your jacket was made of a cotton polyester blend that was treated with a resin-based, stain resistant finished that is not compatible either dry or liquid bleaches.
Stovall Home Products has come to the conclusion that the discoloration to your jacket would have never happened, if all instructions had been followed pertaining to the garment care tag by the manufacturing company and the label direction on the white-n-brite; Therefore Stovall Home Products cannot reimburse you for your jacket. As one of our valued customers we...

Example of a student speech
Introduce yourself Good morning elders, lecturers, and fellow students. My name is … …. I come from a small and rural town in North Queensland called Ayr and belong to the Birri-Gubba tribe which inhabit that area. This is my first year at Batchelor and I am currently studying primary education. Before I begin my speech I would like to respect, thank and acknowledge the traditional owners of the land upon which we meet. In this speech I will be talking to you about the necessity and importance of making a stand in our communities. I will be talking about the results and outcomes of making a stand and whom it will effect and influence being males and females, Indigenous and nonIndigenous and political and non-political. Enumerate the parts of the speech Firstly, I will explain that making a stand is necessary. Secondly, I will describe what Australia will be like when we, Indigenous people, make a stand in our communities. Thirdly, I will paint a picture of what Australia will be like if we don't stand up and be counted. I will end by restating the importance of making a stand and standing up for what we believe. Transition to 1st PART Antithesis I now come to the first part of my speech. In this part I will explain that making a stand and standing up for what we believe is important and is a necessity. I was recently at a community meeting where the speaker was talking about an issue that...
...Service is the most important aspect when it comes to handling a hotel. A hotel’s main objective is to provide the best service and tend to all of the guests’ needs and requirements. If there is no service then there would be no business. When running a business, the costumer is always placed first. Poor services can results in a complaint from a guest. But that complaint can be used to better the business in the future.
There are many issues that Mr. Metz should be concerned with when it comes to running the ATMI hotel. It is the general manager's job to make sure the guests are being pampered and taken cared of. The most apparent issue that the guests; Dr. Hankins and his wife had was the lack of cleanliness in the room. A hotel's hygienic work environment is the first issue that needs to be resolve, because it directly impacts the visitors' experience and their impression of the hotel's circulation. When Dr. Hankins and his wife walked into their room, they found the state of the room looking disastrous and untidy. The hotel offered another room, however it was even more worse than the previous one. From a guests' perspective, it depicts how poor the cleaning service is. In their mind they would be wondering why their rooms were not dealt with from the beginning. The underlying issue with the messy rooms were the lack of responsibilities from the cleaning department. The problem now involves the staff of the hotel. Mr. Metz should...
...Dear Ms Brennan,
I am writing this letter of complaint about a very serious matter and it is not only affecting me but my whole class. I wanted to discuss a matter that has troubled me and my classmates for around 2- 3 months now, as I have seen there has been no progress in the situation I thought it would be better if you could see it from a student’s point of view. I have learnt that many of my other classmates have also come to you with our situation. I also know that you may well know who and what I am talking about, I am writing to you about our maths teacher Mrs Sanderson and how she teaches us.
On many occasions Mrs Sanderson has showed us a video of someone drawing constructions etc and then very vaguely saying or pretty much repeating what the person has said and sat down and said “I will give you a worksheet about this and do it”. On another occasion she has asked a student to come up and practically teach a lesson for her and make the student explain everything. The student is Arin Tofi she is a very smart girl but I am also sure that she herself wants to sit down, learn and do her work too. Many students have suggested for you to come and supervise in our lessons but as you may know people’s personalities change when they are around other people, I am not suggesting that Mrs Sanderson is like this, but I am saying in general people change around their acquaintances, colleagues and bosses etc.
I have also realised that...
...feeling than completing a goal that you have been focused on for years.
Three weeks after I broke the school record, I dove into the ocean in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and broke something tragically different - my 5th cervical vertebra. I am now paralyzed from the chest down, but there is no way that I am going to let that stop me from accomplishing my goals and reaching my dreams, just as I did in the pool some short time ago. This is why the Swim With Mike scholarship would benefit me so well; when I set a goal, I do what it takes and I never give up.
I respectfully request your consideration of my enclosed application for the Swim With Mike Scholarship.
Dear Cigna Customer Service:
I would like to file a complaint and better learn about the process for filing an appeal on a recent claim. I made a claim on May 15th, 2014 for a specialty commode shower chair costing $3,220, and was denied for the reason that Cigna did not see it as being medically necessary. In the following paragraph I will explain why this shower chair is medically necessary due to the level of my injury.
My morning routine consists of a transfer using a sling and a powered lift into my shower chair where my caregiver is able to give me a shower then wheel over the toilet for a bowel program. This can take anywhere from an hour to two hours. If I didn't have my shower chair I would have to transfer to my wheelchair, transfer to a shower bench, transfer back...

Mr. John Smith

Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to you about an error in the bill I paid for my 2 night stay at your Springhill suites in Myrtle beach on the dates of July 29 an July 30.
I was overcharged because the amount I was billed is different from the media advertisement: I made the reservation for this room by phone, I specifically asked the Reservations clerk whether the special rate I had seen advertised in the media would apply on the dates of my stay. After putting me on hold, she was gone for a few minutes, presumably checking with her supervisior. When she returned she told me that the reduced rate would indeed apply, and gave me a confirmation number, which was 21221829.
However, on the morning of my departure as I was checking out, I noticed that my bill for the 2 nights had been calculated at the regular room rate. When I mentioned to the desk staff person that I was supposed to get the special, he said that my reservation had been made by phone- that I had called the 800 number and had actually been talking to your central reservation office at your headquarters in New York. He also told me there was no local staff on duty at the moment who could deal with correcting any error, and since I had a flight to catch, I paid the amount billed.
I enclose a...
...The President “Squid”
A founding member of the Workers' Party (Portuguese meaning: PT - Partido dos Trabalhadores), Lula, as Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is known, first ran for governor of São Paulo state in 1982, losing. As a member of the Chamber of Deputies and after two failed runs for the presidency, in 2002, Lula decisively defeated José Serra for the presidency. His 8-year tenure was marked by advancements on the economic front but marred by scandals as well.
Luiz Inácio da Silva was born on October 27th, 1945 in Garanhuns (in Pernambuco state); one Brazil's historically poverty-ridden northeast. Lula is the seventh of the eight children born to Aristides Inácio da Silva and Eurídice Ferreira de Mello. He was born in a very poor family that moved out from their land looking for work.
In December 1952, his family traveled 13 days on the back of a truck, so-called “pau-de arara”, and settled in Vicente de Carvalho, a poor neighborhood of the city of Guarujá, in São Paulo state. In 1956, the family moved into a bedroom at the back of a bar at the Ipiranga neighborhood in São Paulo city.
At age 12, he landed his first job at a local cleaners. Later he became a shoeshine and an office boy. At 14 he got his first fixed employment at a warehouse. He later transferred to a metal parts factory and got a placement in a lathe worker-training course offered by SENAI. After a three-year course, Lula graduated as a metal worker.
In 1969, in mourning over the death...
