“George W. Bush: Great President or the Greatest President?”
George W. Bush was our president during some of the toughest times in our nation’s history. But our images of his policies should not be injured because of a few minor errors in intelligence. Once enough time passes as to heal the deep wounds of 9/11 and the controversies in the Middle East, there is no doubt that George W. Bush will go down as one of the greatest presidents in United States History.
The Necessary and Proper clause to the United States Constitution dictates that the government has the right to take actions and make laws that are necessary to the welfare of the nation. Therefore, George W. Bush was just following the rules when he led a “coalition of the willing” into Iraq. (Greene) So what may be illegal to the United Nations might be perfectly permissible to the United States. Technicalities like this one have brought about tensions between a once healthy relationship between the US and the UN, but it’s surely to no fault of President Bush. Let’s take a look at the event that proliferated these conflicts: 9/11.
Was George W. Bush the only person who maintained an idea of how much of a disaster was caused by the events that transpired on September 11, 2001? Because the nation that rallied behind his decisions shortly after the event later criticized him for his insignificant misjudgments in dealing with the war on terrorism. When Bush made a movement for retaliation against Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, US citizens united with a fierce sense of nationalism and a thirst for vengeance. Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda were pegged as enemies to the United States. Bush didn’t need any proof that they were responsible for 9/11 and he didn’t give it to the Taliban when they demanded it. (Phillips) Doing such would suggest weakness and a willingness to cooperate with them. Proof was not an option. And we marched,...

...Many people often think about who was the one president who really did our country justice. Who was the one president who, out of all forty-two, beats everyone and takes the gold for best president in the history of American presidents? Not everyone who agrees with these thoughts is going to agree with the answer each other gives. However, I bet many of those same people would argue that George Washington was the bestpresident out of all of them.
There are many more reasons to why George Washington is the best president to ever come into office, one being the fact that without him, we would not have won the Revolutionary war. His amazing leadership skills kept the forces together and when the continental congress didn't pay the troops, he did. After the war, many people suggested he become a king, he would have none of that. In fact, by George Washington refusing to become a king, King George III said, "If that is true then he will be the greatest man in the world". This is not only a smart choice on his part to not be a king, but I also think it’s very noble of him. I could probably guess that all most every person would die to be known by everyone as a king or queen. However, George Washington was smart enough and new that it would only hurt the country that he just so greatly helped.

When you’re driving down the road, passing through a school zone, do you ever think about who initially suggested slowing down while school is in session? When you’re sitting in the doctor’s office or emergency room, do you ever think about the group of people who put together the process of health care? Sure you don’t, but health care and education reform are key issues that Presidents must configure to best suite America. While a specific situation is being worked on by the executives, the smaller guys must continue to present challenges on how to improve the conditions of such issues. Previous presidentGeorgeW. Bush and current president Barrack Obama both had interesting viewpoints to prove while in office. Bush had 2 terms to pass the No Child Left Behind act, which was a significant accomplishment in education reform in a long time. In his GeorgeBush Delivers Remarks on the No Child Left Behind Act speech, Mr. Bush stated, “Every single child can learn, and that we’ve got to make sure that every single child does learn.”
