Education is a Key to Success
Who does not want to be successful in life? Success is what everybody in this world strives to achieve, but not everybody can taste it because they do not know how. To be successful you must take some decisions, you must know what you want to accomplish and create a strategic plan as a guideline to get the ultimate results you want for your life. College is one of the tools you can use to be successful because it gives you the necessary skills to succeed and prepares you for a career. However, not having a degree, some people can become success as well. Therefore, to be successful education is not the only way. Personally, I strongly disagree with this concept that says education is an essential way to success. I think there are many way to success and one of the most essential keys to be successful is to have the natural skill and talents. From sports to music and art, for example, they do not need practicing. They just use their talent from their birth for their work. Let’s me take an example of Rachael Ray, the star chef barely received any formal cooking training, let alone a college degree. In her twenties, Ray bounced around food service jobs in New York City and Albany. Moreover, to be success is to motivate and willing to do something. Walt Disney became known for his cartoon characters that included Mickey Mouse, for example, didn't graduate from college or high school and was enormously successful. He had the ambition and the motivation to press on and it paid off; others can do the same. In addition, everyone has to struggle here in this world to overcome every obstacle in the way to success. For this hard work is necessary. Without working hard and just by sitting idle it will be hard for one to get success. Since from childhood and till now I always remember the sentence that my parents used to tell me "to be a better person in life and to get success you have to work hard, the result of hard work is always fruitful,...
... About 20 years ago, education was something that a person did only if he/she wanted
to. Unfortunately, as the years went by, the idea of "Education is the key to success" got more,
and more enforced. People eventually started to believe that education was the single way to
succeed, and the only thing needed for success. Despite the fact, many Americans believe a
college degree will lead them to be successful, in reality, education is not the solitary way to
Not everybody can receive an education, or even an excellent education from a "decent
academic" college/university. "There are many students who have no desire to attend college
and who would be much better off if they received training that would qualify them for a better-
paid job with just a high school diploma" (Finneran, 22). Many students today that are receiving
a secondary education are either doing it because they think it is the right thing to do, or because
their parents told them that the only way to succeed in today's world was through a college
degree. Parents put a lot of pressure on their children when it comes to college, and receiving an
education. Some students are so overly pressured that they believe that in order to be somebody
in life, he/she must both...
...two paths so that the teachers have an easier time teaching and students find it more enjoyable to learn education materials.
I think today’s use of power points in lectures makes it so much more easier for teachers to make their lesson plans and for students to access them later on whenever they need it. But for a couple of years that is where it’s been stuck it power points get more and more fancier but they aren't necessarily helping the students engage into the material that they are learning in class. I think school district should have a set amount of money put aside for labs and competitions where students can truly discover their talents. I think science classes in high schools are kind of pointless where students never actually get to experience how it truly feels like to be a scientist that thrill of having succeeded in performing a lab right is just a fantasy to them which rather than doing it themselves they watch others do in their science class on the projectors. Parent support is also necessary for these type of activities they are always worried about keeping their children safe and not exposing them to dangerous things but the truth of the situation is that the world is unpredictable and that isn't necessarily good or bad but they also have to encourage students as well as teachers to be creative with their work.
One of the rising problems the education system is facing today is the low standards set in math classes....
Education is a Key to SuccessEducation gives me knowledge of the world around me, while opening doors to brilliant career opportunities. Education builds confidence to make decisions, to face life, and to accept successes and failures. The best way to reach career success is to map out a strategy and set goals.
College is a choice, it is the beginning of a life long journey that will shape and determine future choices, decisions and purposes. Education will provide me with skills, knowledge and will lead me to a productive lifestyle. Tidewater Community College is really a stepping-stone towards success. The reason why I am attending TCC is because, it fits my budget, and it was easy for me to get in by doing the placement test. It is also close to my home so I find it very convenient this way I save on gas, and stay with my parents so I do not have to pay for living. My career goal is to transfer to a four year university and finish my degree in Mechanical Engineering.
It is important for me to succeed in college to reach my career goal. College will provide me with all the knowledge that is related to my field, and also help me understand what all mechanical engineers do in the future. Getting an engineering degree will require completing college with excellent grades, so that I can find a high-quality job with great pay. For example, I...
...4. What are the pros and cons of management using theexperience curve to determine strategy?
The experience curve is an idea developed by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the mid-1960s. Working with a leading manufacturer of semiconductors, the consultants noticed that the company's unit cost of manufacturing fell by about 25% for each doubling of the volume that it produced. This relationship they called the experience curve: the more experience a firm has in producing a particular product, the lower are its costs. However, if the decline in cost is fast if growth is fast and slow if growth is slow.
The strategic implications of the experience curve came closer to shattering earth. For if costs fell (fairly predictably) with experience, and if experience was closely related to market share (as it seemed it must be), then the competitor with the biggest market share was going to have a big cost advantage over its rivals. This was the logical underpinning of the idea of the growth share matrix. The experience curve justified allocating financial resources to those businesses (out of a firm's portfolio of businesses) that were (or were going to be) market leaders in their particular sectors. This, of course, implied starvation for those businesses that were not and never would be market leaders.
Labour efficiency - Workers become physically more dexterous. They become mentally more confident and spend less time hesitating, learning, experimenting, or making...
...Education is the Key to Success and a Better Life
As we all know education is one of the most important things in life. Education is what helps us human beings succeed and make a difference. Us Americans are all given the opportunity to attend free public grade school, but some of us don’t take that advantage and send it all to waste, not knowing that their are many other kids in the world that don’t have this same opportunity that we have. For example in Kenya children are not all given that opportunity of having free grade school education. Many of them don’t even know how to spell out their own name nor do they know how to read. The one’s responsible for not having education for these children are obviously the government.
As shown in the movie “The First Grader” their main issue was education, it was not being offered for free until a while later the government opened a small primary school in Kenya. Many parents tried getting their children enrolled so they could get a free education. An 84 year old man by the name Maruge also tried attending but was told no because he was not properly dressed, so he being as poor as he was, was motivated to go buy some old clothes and fixed them up a bit he later was let into the school by teacher Jane, knowing she could get in big trouble risked it. She was motivated to help Maruke learn the basics...
...Key to Success
What is education? According to the Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English it is defined as “the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university and the theory and practice of teaching”. In my opinion success requires not only formal education but the positive attitude, drive and vision through informal education.
What is formal education? It is the interaction between students and a teacher that is required for a student to obtain some sort of people pursue formal education in the hope that obtaining a degree or certificate will open the window of opportunity, help them gain social status and financial security. Education obtained in school teaches essential skills for the working world and it changes and mold behaviour of an individual so that the person will become a responsible for member of society. Two years ago, one of my teachers said “To be a productive member in our society, you need to get a formal education”. This statement seems to be true when one considers that we live in a complex and competitive society; many jobs are unavailable to those without an education. For example, in order to be a nurse, a person needs a nursing certificate from a recognized educational institution and pass the national board exam to get a license...
...Firstly, having an education is ESSENTIAL for obtaining a desirable job. An article called “Australian Social Trends” released by the Australian Bureau of statistics states that within Australia, year 12 attainment is regarded as a key factor in the formal development of an individual’s skills and knowledge. This contributes to the development of a skilled workforce, and in turn, to ongoing economic development and improved living conditions. According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, in Australia employment rates are higher for individuals with a high level of education; and around 84% of individuals with a university education have a paid job. This is compared with only 59% for those without year 12 education.
My second point is that education is SO important because it develops a generation of responsible individuals who understand the forms of proper conduct. With the increased learning and knowledge that we gain through education, we are better able to support our families and ourselves. Having a university degree shows hard work and dedication. We will be more likely to be considered for promotions and be better able to change ourselves and the world for the better. The OECD better life index states that “A well-educated population is essential for a country’s social and economic well-being”. Isn’t it fantastic that here in Australia we...
