The views and opinions expressed everyday through media outlet are a major example of the production of democratic values. Unquestionably, having open and free space to discuss what topics concern ourselves and others is what allows us to be heard and listened to. The rights to express our opinions has been shown throughout history and the media.
One example of how our democratic ideals are meaningful was the passing of the Bill of Rights. The first amendment in the Bill of Rights states that we have the right to “freedom of speech…”. This right did not come about with restrictions on what could or couldn’t be voiced. In fact, the expressions of our forefathers to our rights of free speech were proved through their democratic principles. Our forefathers democracy also influenced the right to free expression in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which under Article 19 recognizes freedom of speech as a human right. So this is more evidence supporting the importance of or democratic opinions.
Furthermore, the media helps us to advance our democratic beliefs by supplying us with informative news concerning our politics and economy. The news station CNN gives insightful reports to our citizens about the political arena. For example the daily voter polls, reports and debates covering the presidential race between candidates Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain which ensures our views are communicated which leads to the promotion of democratic beliefs regarding the presidential race.
In conclusion, the opinions expressed by ordinary citizens, political figures, and entertainers are worthwhile. They are made known throughout history and various media outlets and are expressed uncensored and democratically. With the freedom to express our values opinions and beliefs then in most ways our freedom of expression fosters democratic values.
In different region of the world people have different beliefs that guide and shape
the way they live their life. A value is an important and life lasting beliefs or ideals
shared by people of the same culture about what is good or bad, and what is
desirable or undesirable. What may seem valuable to one person may not be the
same as to the next person, cultures differ in many ways and those values that
shapes our culture is also the root of our lifestyle.
Throughout our lives we will encounter people with different backgrounds: race,
origin, culture, and values that are different from ours. As we interact with each
other, we’ll come to find out that one might value something that doesn’t seem to
interest you. In the U.S it’s a big deal for a teenager to get their drivers license
once turning 16 years of age and owning a car, this is something that Americans
value greatly because it shows independent and freedom, Independent from taking
the bus, asking for a lift, or taking a taxi. It is also a sign of freedom because now
they can go wherever they want to go, when they want to go, what time they want

Values are defined as the guide or systematic information stored in an individual to decide for him/her what is right or wrong for better well being. Values are a set of guidelines that inform your behavior within any given culture. Values form the basis of our behavior. They are the guiding principles behind our behavior and help us decide the dos and don’ts.
For example if one of the values that I believe in is cleanliness then I would keep the place around me clean and would not litter on the roads. Hence it provided with a do and a do not behavior.

Personal, organizational, and cultural values are the basis of an individual's personal and professional decision-making style. These values are the key ingredients that make up our core beliefs. Personal values might also be called morality, since they reflect general expectations of any person in any society, acting in any capacity. America is faced with an overwhelming abundance of moral and social problems which seem to consume the fragilely woven fibers of our nation. What has happened to America? What can be done to rescue the innocents in society from those who seem to prey upon them? Can one person make a difference? Those in the human service profession have felt a calling, have been affected by the seeming hopeless perils of the weaker members of society and have stood to make a difference one step, one person one life at a time.
How can one person make a difference in a world so big and so full of problems? America is a society that is morally starving. Values clarification, which is taught in public schools today teaches "since there are no eternal truths which are valid for this generation and succeeding generations, everybody has to find his own values in his own time. There is nothing which is right and wrong for everyone, thus there are no absolutes" (Ed. DeMoss, 1986).

Leaders do not demand excellence they develop excellence. Living in Excellence is when "One is being all they can be" while staying in the boundary of what is right for the society. To achieve excellence you must first be a leader of good nature. As young children we were all taught, whether in school or from our parents, about the good characteristics we should strive to achieve. Many think that a person's character is formed very early. For the most part this is correct. However it takes time and life experiences to advance and mature a person’s genuine character.
The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche preached to his fellow philosophers that they should pay more attention to human values. Human values can easily be defined as many things. Many philosophers of the time were focusing more on how society should be led, how we came to be, and of course religion. Friedrich Nietzsche branched out into new territory and new fields not ventured into before him. In Nietzsche’s work “On the Genealogy of Morality” he felt that in order to solve the problem of figuring the worth of values and ‘morality’ the task of future philosophers was to determine the “rank order of values” (otherwise known as a hierarchy of values.) ...Filipino core values, along with the Filipino character or Filipino identity of a person or an individual known as the Filipino, the Filipino value system are found to possess inherent key elements of. value system which includes their own unique assemblage of consistent ideologies, moral codes, ethical practices, etiquette, and cultural and personal values that are promoted by their society. There are several strengths that Filipinos are known for namely Pakikipagkapwa-Tao. This strength can be fully exemplified by means of valuing the meaning of relationship they create as they open up for some space for individual or group of person. Filipinos are open to others. They feel one another and are sensitive to others feeling. It is demonstrated in the Filipinos ability to empathize with others, in helpfulness and generosity in times of need, in the practice of bayanihan or mutual assistance, and in the famous Filipino hospitality. Pakikipagkapwa-tao results in camaraderie and a feeling of closeness one to another. It helps promote unity as well a sense of social justice.

To begin with there are seven army values, of these seven we have loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. As you read this you will learn the army definitions as well as what these values mean in my own words. This first paragraph will move us on to loyalty, and the final paragraph will close this essay by explaining my personal opinion on all the army values.
Loyalty means to bear true faith and allegiance to the U.S. constitution, the army, your unit, and other soldiers. Be sure to be loyal to your higher headquarters personnel no matter the rank of the personnel involved, when you are working with the higher headquarters there will most likely be information put out that can save your life or your career, if you don’t show loyalty to them they may not trust you with this information .Work within the system but not for personal gain but for the good of the unit, this loyalty to your unit consists of being where you should be when you should be there and in the right uniform to show that you are proud to be where you are. It’s not only your duty to be loyal to the U.S. constitution, the army, your unit, and your battle buddies but also to your family, whether it’s your mother and father, brother and sister, wife and child, or best friend from back home.
