First, I really made important connections with this book. For example, the narrator said, “There is a whole world to see, to learn, and like all young they want to see and do it all at once”(40). As a kid and even a teenager you want to do everything at once. One reason is because we have a lot of energy and we want to have a great amount of fun. Also, when we are out with are friends or cousins we are having fun and we want to do stuff that is either inappropriate or maybe even dangerous. Last, for me the most important connection was that sometimes I want to do all at once is really to impress.

Second, in the passage the narrator explained, “Going at something slowly lets us build confidence and have more fun”(39). This really caught my attention because this is what I live in my daily life. For example, I am a person that gets frustrated easily when I don’t see fast results. Also, sometimes when I get really engaged into something I end up messing up or become really mad when the whole purpose is to have fun. Last, I came to conclusion that having is one of the main points in life, which means that we don’t need to stress over situations that aren’t worth it.

Third, I realized something that I have always been told and able to see myself. The narrator stated, “It’s how they learn and grow”(17). This is one of the basic rules of life that each human being experiences every day. I was able to relate to this because my parents have always explained to me that every day I learn something new.
