The ProphetMuhammad is both the final messenger of God and a role-model for the whole of humanity. He was born in Makkah in 571 C.E. in the tribe of Quraish, a highly respected tribe by the Arabs. He was orphaned and at age six and raised by his uncle Abu Talib, who has helped him a great deal by protecting him and taking care of him until he died. He had married a chaste, widowed woman Khadija when she was 45 years old and he was 25 years old. Many people say that he married her for her wealth, but this is highly unlikely since all of his wives were either widowed or divorced and he did not marry another woman until 3 years after her death. When Muhammad reached the age of 40 years, he had a profound experience that changed his life.
ProphetMuhammad used to meditate in the Cave of Hira, where he would seclude himself for days and nights. One night an angel named Gabriel came to him with divine revelation and told him to recite. He said that he could not recite and this happened a second time. On the third time, he asked “Recite What?”, Gabriel replied “Proclaim! Recite! In the name of your Lord and Cherisher, Who created man, out of a leech-like clot: Proclaim! And your Lord Is Most Bountiful, He who taught (the use of) the Pen, Taught man that which he knew not.”. Muhammad was frightened and he went back to his...
...ProphetMuhammad was a religious, political, and military leader from Mecca who unified Arabia into a single religious polity under Islam. He is believed by Muslims and Baha'is to be a messenger and prophet of God. Muhammad is almost universally considered by Muslims as the last prophet sent by God for mankind.[n 1] Non-Muslims regard Muhammad as the founder of Islam. Muslims consider him to be the restorer of an unaltered original monotheistic faith of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.
Born in about 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca, he was orphaned at an early age and brought up under the care of his uncle Abu Talib. He later worked mostly as a merchant, as well as a shepherd, and was first married by age 25. Being in the habit of periodically retreating to a cave in the surrounding mountains for several nights of seclusion and prayer, he later reported that it was there, at age 40, that he received his first revelation from God. Three years after this event Muhammad started preaching these revelations publicly, proclaiming that "God is One", that complete "surrender" to Him is the only way acceptable to God, and that he himself was a prophet and messenger of God, in the same vein as other Islamic prophets.
Muhammad gained few followers early on, and was met with...
...Historical Person in Human History |
Muhammad Ibn `Abd Allāh Ibn `Abd al-Muttalib was the founder of the religion Islam. Muslims believe that he is the messenger of Islam and that he is the last prophet of God, Allah. ProphetMuhammad is to be the last of many prophets before him, according to the Quran, the holy book of Islam. ProphetMuhammad guided people in every aspect of their lives. The Hadiths, Sunnahs, and political leadership that ProphetMuhammad had, make him the most influential person in human history.
A hadith means an action or saying ProphetMuhammad has been referenced in doing or saying in his lifetime. Hadiths are interpreted differently by each school. Muslims have been divided into two different subcultures, Sunnis and Shias, over who should be the political/spiritual leader of the Muslims. Though there is an indecisive choice of leader, both parties still believe and follow the hadiths of the prophet, to their own interpretations.
Sunnah is defined as the practices of ProphetMuhammad that he taught and instituted into Islam. The Quran doesn’t tell Muslims how to be a Muslim, nor does the Quran have legislation. Because of that, ProphetMuhammad had to become a political leader as well. The...
The ProphetMuhammad is the founder of Islam. He is known as the Messenger of God to people of the Islamic faith. Muhammad lived a rough life but he also changed people’s lives. His religion has had an effect on millions of people. There are no pictures of Muhammad’s face; he made a point that the religion was to not be about him, but about Allah.
In 570 C.E in Mecca, Arabia a baby boy, a descendant of Abraham named Muhammad, whose name means “highly praised”, was born. Muhammad’s father, Abdullah, died before he was born and his mother, Amina died when he was only six years old. After the death of his mom, he became an orphan. He was taken in by a woman named Halmiah, who became his foster mother. In 595 C.E., Muhammad was contacted by one of his wealthy widowed cousins, Khadijah, who needed him to sell some goods for her. Many of Muhammad’s cousins lived in Mecca, so it was not uncommon that Khadijah had contacted him. He was known for being a very good merchant. Muhammad and Khadijah met several times to discuss the selling of goods. Khadijah began to become interested in him on a personal level, even though she was fifteen years older than Muhammad. Khadijah asked Nufaysah (known as the matchmaker) to ask Muhammad if he was interested in marrying Khadijah. Muhammad and Khadijah...

Ever since dawn of the civilization, mankind has witnessed the emergence of a large number of great people who did significant contributions in their respective fields and immortalized their names forever. Their contributions, which they left behind, have been responsible for moulding the intellect of the people into the fashion of their teachings. The Teachings of Buddha, Jesus, Confucius, Ashoka, Aristotle, Plato, etc even today have an avid influence upon the lives of masses globally. But among all these great people, only Muhammad (pbuh) possessed the most distinguished and determined personality.

...Muhammad is one of the most influential men in history as he has millions of followers due to his characteristics. Leadership has been defined in many ways but it is mostly agreed that “leadership is about influencing others towards a common goal.” According to Michael Hart (1978) book ‘The 100: He listed Muhammad (peace be upon him-PBUH) as the most influential individual in the history because he “was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels” and “in fact, as the driving force behind the Arab conquests, he may well rank as the most influential political leader of all time”. Muhammad (PBUH) was the greatest and a role model of Islam who will always be remembered throughout history. Moreover Muhammad (PBUH) displays effectiveness in his leadership as he dragged a whole nation to believe his goal to worship the only God. Also the prophetMuhammad had many strategies to resolve conflict amongst a group.
Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Mecca in 570 AD. His father died shortly before his birth, and he lost his mother at the age of six. He was then raised by his uncle Abu talib. For whom he worked for as a shepherd at the age of 9 and then he worked as a trade marker. At the age of 40 Muhammad (PBUH) received his call to become a prophet. And he received the word of God through the angel Gabriel and...
...ProphetMuhammad (PBUH) was born in Mecca on Monday, Rabi-al-Awwal 12, 53 BH, or December 9, 571 AD, 50 days after the attack of Abrah, the ruler of Yemen, with his army of elephants on Ka'aba (as described in Holy Qura'n in Surah Feel -- Chapter Elephant). He belonged to the clan of Hashim. Banu Hashim was a noble branch of the prestigious and influential tribe of Quraish. His father had died before his birth. He was nursed by Sobia and then by Halima Sadia, with whom he stayed for four years.
When he was six-year-old, his mother Syeda Amna fell sick and died in Abwa, near Madina (then Yitsrab). She was buried there. His grandfather brought him up for two more years, until he also died. Orphaned three times at the age of eight, he went to live with his uncle, Abu Talib.
He travelled to Syria to trade on behalf of Hazrat Khadija (R). He did good business. Hazrat Bibi Khadija (R) was informed about his honesty, personality, and his business acumen, she was very much impressed. Consequently, she proposed marriage and he accepted her offer. He married her when he was 25 years of age and she was 40.
Since His early age, He remained pensive and withdrawn in temperament and always displayed an acute moral sensitivity. He avoided all kinds of luxuries, lust and whatever may fall in the purview of bad habits. He never lied, never even touched any sort of intoxicants, or passed near any game of chance. As a traditional brave and...

Islam and the ProphetMuhammad peace be upon him
The documentary about the Islamic religion and its founding prophetMuhammad peace be upon him was very interesting to me because, I come from a dominant Muslim country know as Iran and I have never really knew how, from where and by who the Islamic religion started. This movie sums it up in about an hour.
The azan is the sound called five times a day everyday across the world. Nearly a quarter of the people on earth respond to it, bound together by the spirit of Islam. There is no god but Allah (God). In history Islamic civilization has been one of humanities grandest achievement. Worldwide power founded simply on faith. In the western world the Islamic religion has been misunderstood behind the veil of fear but the history of Islam is interwoven in the western civilization. From the way we heal the sick to the numerical ways of counting, cultures across the globe have been shaped by the Islamic civilization.
The prophetMuhammad peace be upon him was born in or around 570 A.D in the Arabian Peninsula. He was from Mecca but was sent to the better one where they had the deeper Arab values. The better one being the town people they kept the authentic Arab culture and poetry. When the prophetMuhammad peace be upon him was six years old both of his parent had died and he was taken on...
